Location: Marrickville, Sydney Australia Completed: 2021
The Marrickville Townhouse project transformed a newly purchased modern home into a space that reflects the owner’s unique personality, guided by a Japandi-inspired design brief. Starting with a blank canvas, we introduced a carefully selected palette of paint colours and wallpapers to add depth and understated elegance to the interiors. These were complemented by stylish yet functional furniture pieces that harmonised minimalist aesthetics with everyday practicality. Statement lighting fixtures were strategically chosen to enhance the ambience and create striking visual elements, while curated artworks served as focal points, adding warmth and artistic charm to key areas. This seamless blend of Japanese and Scandinavian design principles, coupled with thoughtful attention to colour, texture, and form, has turned this modern townhouse into a warm, inviting, and uniquely personalised home.
Client Testimonial
"Sarah was really receptive to the range of design concepts we threw at her and somehow she made it all fit together into one cohesive vision and exciting reality.
She encouraged us to be a bit bold and also listened and always had great alternatives when we didn’t think something suited.
We’re so glad we had Sarah’s experience and support throughout - I still remember the time Sarah came all the way out to make sure the paint swatch for the kid’s room worked in the room’s natural light along with the planned wall paper. Such attention to detail."
